Central to CORE’s efficacy is the Research Integrity Committee (RIC), an independent multidisciplinary body enforcing methodological and ethical rigor across all outputs, and including external advisors from all regions worldwide.  As the Epistemic Guardian of the Foundation, the RIC ensures all research adheres to the highest standards of methodological rigor, ethical standards, cross-center integration and transparency at each research phase, from design to dissemination. It wields significant influence over the work of our three Research Centers by establishing, upholding, and monitoring the ethical and methodological standards that underpin all research activities. This tripartite oversight ensures that COMPASS’ predictive models, BRAVE’s alliance-driven datasets, and STRIDE’s community narratives adhere to the highest evidentiary standards while remaining policy actionable.

Our comprehensive approach – distinct from traditional NGO models – creates reinforcing feedback loops between knowledge production and practical application. As a result, LVS Foundation Research process integrates data-driven analysis and policy logic, ensuring continuous refinement, cross-disciplinary insight and addressing the multifaceted challenges facing democratic societies while maintaining the highest standards of research integrity.

By providing structural separation between funding mechanisms and research direction, the RIC protects intellectual independence and prevents undue influence on research outcomes. This firewall between financial considerations and scholarly inquiry represents a best practice rarely implemented in NGO research structures.
